Diagnostic Services

 

Diagnostic tests are an essential tool for confirming the health status of our animals, and getting them the right care & treatment in a timely manner.

 

Laboratory:  Our in-House Laboratory allows us to quickly perform diagnostic tests on a variety of body fluids (ear swabs, blood, urine, etc) and other samples (feces, etc) to achieve an accurate and rapid diagnosis. This is especially important in very ill animals and those requiring immediate or emergency treatment. 

 

We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for those samples that can't be run in-house, along with specialized diagnostics and consultations.

 

Radiology Services:  Radiology is used to diagnose bone, joint, lung, spinal, urinary, liver, and many other diseases. When needed, we are able to send radiographs via e-mail to specialists at other hospitals for timely review and input.

 

Cytology:  Cytology, the “study of cells,” uses the microscope for the diagnosis of skin disease, skin growths, cancers, ear infections, and many other problems.
