Surgery

 

When it comes to cat and dog surgery, we take every precaution for your pet’s health, safety and comfort.  Our staff is highly experienced in routine and advanced surgical procedures, and use sedation and local anesthesia whenever possible. A postoperative pain management program is established for all surgical patients to ease recovery.

 

All patients requiring short-acting or general anesthesia receive a pre-anesthetic exam and a pre-anesthetic blood panel.  

 

Surgical Services:  Our fully-equipped surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures, including routine and emergency procedures.
   
Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics during our dental and surgical procedures.  Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored throughout the entire procedure. 

Consistent with our emphasis on patient safety, our equipment and staff monitor your pet's:  exhaled carbon dioxide (one of the most valuable anesthetic parameters), inhaled Oxygen, core body temperature, blood pressure and electrocardiogram (EKG).

 

Stem Cell Therapy:  Dr. Altman is certified and trained in the use of Vet-Stem Regenerative Cell Therapy.
