Our Community

Evergreen is more than where we live and do business.  It's our community.  We are commited to sustaining, preserving and respectfully growing it by volunteering our personal time and resources in support of various non-profit and environmental groups.

Following are just a few of the ways we are involved with our community.

Evergreen Lake Summer Concert Series:  We are a sponsor of this free event presented by the Evergreen Parks & Recreation District.  For 14 years, the summer concert series has been a free event put on to provide ALL mountain area residents an opportunity to experience great live music, in a beautiful setting, that is family and neighbor friendly.  To new and old residents of the Evergreen community, this is a highlight of their summers.  The concert series is 100% paid for by the support of local businesses who provide sponsorship dollars.

EAS+Y: Evergreen's Alliance for Sustainability was formed in 2009 by a group of local business owners and residents who wanted to address environmental challenges and create solutions to ensure the sustainability of Evergreen and the surrounding mountain communities.  The list of initiatives that EAS+Y is tackling keeps growing, but the current list of initiatives includes:  A Community Garden, In-vessel composting, Recycling, "Greening" special events, Energy Conservation, Sustainability Workshops & Curriculum for our neighbors and local schools, and so on.

Evergreen Trout Unlimited:  Evergreen Trout Unlimited is commited to preserving, enhancing and protecting Colorado fisheries.  As one of the largest chapters of Trout Unlimited, the Evergreen chapter participates in many projects involving Bear Creek and our local community. Among these recurring projects are the restoration and improvement of Bear Creek, Ongoing monitoring of Bear Creek, Education of kids about trout and flyfishing. 

Evergreen Chamber of Commerce: We have been members of the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce since 2008.  This local community organization aims to foster our area businesses, thus allowing our community to prosper and grow. 

Non-profit animal organizations:  We support several mountain area non-profit shelters and rescue organizations through direct donations and discounted services.  We also sometimes "adopt" pets in need and after addressing their medical issues help find them new forever homes that are more suitable to their life situations.  However, as a courtesy to the families and pets involved in these situations, we always keep the details confidential.
