Meet our Doctor

Meet Dr. Ronald Altman.  He was born and raised in Montreal, Canada where he completed his undergraduate degree at McGill University.  He obtained his DVM from Ontario Veterinary College in 1999.  After graduation, he moved to upstate New York where he lived and practiced emergency and day medicine for just about 5 years.  After New York, he headed south to Atlanta, GA where he practiced small animal medicine for another 4 years.  While keeping up with current and progressive medicine in all areas of general practice, he has completed advanced training in the area of veterinary dentistry which is an area of focus in his medicine.  He moved to Evergreen and bought our practice in the summer of 2008. 

Since moving to Colorado, Dr. Altman has become an avid fly fisherman - serving on the board of Evergreen Trout Unlimited.  On the few winter days when fly fishing isn't an option, he heads to the mountains to pursue his other "new" hobby of snowboarding.  He also likes to spend time with his family (wife, Elise who is also our Practice Manager and son, Jordan Samuel who was born in March 2008), hike with his three dogs (Sammy, Bailey and Clark), ride his motorcycle through the mountains, and even finds a few minutes at the end of a long day, to play with his cat, Maggie.
